"I am a student selected for the international exchange program by the Universidad del Valle de México, where I am currently studying my second semester for a degree in medicine. This program is offered to students who have made good academic progress. I closed my first semester with a 9.45 GPA, which gave me the opportunity to take an exchange semester at the University of Extremadura, Badajoz, Spain. The insurance for which I am requesting your support is an essential requirement for the processing of my visa, which I must request as soon as possible, since the start of classes is scheduled for the last days of January 2025."

Class of 2024
Ana Laura Ramírez Cervantes
Tecnológico Nacional de México, Engineer in Computer Systems
Recipient of extra support from the Marta Puga Travel Fund
“This exchange represents a unique opportunity that will not only contribute to my academic and professional training, but will also allow me to face new challenges that will strengthen my personal growth. I already received results where I was selected to spend my stay at the University of Santo Tomás in the city of Tunja, Colombia. The exchange will benefit me in various aspects, starting with academics.
I will have access to an international academic program, with professors and classmates who provide a different perspective on the topics I study. This will enrich my knowledge in Computer Systems Engineering, since I will be able to learn about new technologies, tools and methodologies that are used in other parts of the world.
I will also be exposed to different pedagogical approaches that will allow me to broaden my vision and improve my skills in the technological field. On a professional level, international experience will give me a competitive advantage in the job market. Participating in an exchange will allow me to develop skills that are highly valued, such as adaptability, problem solving in diverse environments, and the ability to work as a team with people from different cultures.
These types of skills are essential in Systems Engineering, since the globalization of technology requires that professionals be able to collaborate effectively in multicultural teams and that they can adapt quickly to technological and market changes. Likewise, international experience will provide me with a network of contacts that will allow me to access new job opportunities in the future, both in Mexico and abroad.
In personal terms, the exchange will also contribute to my overall development by exposing me to a new culture. Living in another country will allow me to improve my understanding of the social, political and cultural dynamics of the region, which will broaden my perspective on the world."
Class of 2022
Sofia González Cervantes
Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, International Relations
Recipient of extra support from the Marta Puga Travel Fund
"The intention of this letter is to tell you with gratitude and great emotion that I have been accepted into the Voluntary Visitor Program granted by the Institute of Public Policies on Human Rights (IPPDH) of MERCOSUR in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina to provide my professional internships in the first half of 2025.
MERCOSUR was born in 1991 as a regional economic, political and social organization to which Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay belong. It is known as one of the most important regional blocks in Latin America since it fosters regional cooperation and stability, promotes free trade, promotes joint development and the protection of human rights in said countries.
Under this context, it is totally relevant for a future internationalist like me to offer my professional internship in an organization like the IPPDH because it would allow me to gain experience in the protection of human rights in a regional context, and contribute to the development of public policies that promote cooperation and integration."
