Issue No. 3 Autumn 2025
JA Scholar
THE DIGITAL MAGAZINE OF JÓVENES ADELANTE

In this issue...
We honor the existence of improbable yet immensely powerful connections: the living and dead in Mexico’s unique Day of the Dead rituals; the combined Mexican and non-Mexican mentors who make such a difference with our young Mexican university navigating their way through late adolescence, to young adulthood; the increasingly expanding network of JA graduates pursuing advanced degrees.
Two special feature stories by mentors provide insight into their lived and shared experience of Day of the Dead.
We launch a new mentor’s corner to share what some of our mentors are up to in their professional lives; a new selection of mini-stories of JA students celebrating their professional credentialing; and we continue to share travel stores.
Our lead student feature stories follow a new entrant in integrated geography, and a bio-medical engineering student.
Enjoy!
