“Being a scholar at Jóvenes Adelante, A.C. transformed my life. JA didn’t just support my education — they believed in me. When someone believes in your potential, the possibilities become endless. Giving back is my way of expressing gratitude and continuing that chain of trust, because I truly believe that one person or one action can change a life.

Having been a scholar and now being a psychologist allows me to see both perspectives and understand the challenges of academic life. I know how valuable it is to have a support system that reminds you your dreams are possible and that there are people who believe in you. Being part of JA Peers means planting hope and strengthening a community that has had a profound impact on my life.

Allow yourself to seek support, share what you feel, and surround yourself with people who uplift your path. You are building a story of effort, courage, and dreams fulfilled. Believe in yourself with the same conviction that others have believed in you. Your future is being shaped today and is full of possibilities. Every challenge is part of your growth. Trust your process, your talent, and the strength that has brought you this far — every step counts.”

"When I had my mentor, I realized how fortunate I was to have someone guiding me through academic matters and, at times, personal ones. However, I also understood that I would have valued having someone who studied the same field as I did, someone who could offer more specific guidance. When I entered the workforce, I felt there was still so much I needed to learn, especially in the professional environment.

Knowing that I am supporting someone who may have felt the same way I once did — perhaps uncertain or full of questions — is very meaningful to me. Even though I may not have much experience, I know that what I have learned so far can help others through my work experiences.

I believe there will always be small bumps along the way and many obstacles. At times, we feel overwhelmed and think we can’t go on, but everything is temporary. Nothing lasts forever. Even if it feels endless at the moment, it will pass. All that effort will eventually pay off — we just need to be patient."

“Supporting Jóvenes Adelante is my way of giving back for the support I received during my university years as a scholar. I know firsthand what it means to have a strong support system during critical moments, and now that I have the opportunity to be part of a community that uplifts and accompanies others, I want to do so with the same conviction with which I was once supported.

Being able to share, even a small part of what I learned along the way, is truly meaningful to me. Supporting students who are going through situations similar to those I once faced is a way of closing the cycle with gratitude. I received support from JA when I needed it most, and now I want to be part of that support for someone else.

My main advice is to be patient and trust yourself. If life has placed you in that situation, it is because you have the ability to overcome it. Even when the path feels heavy and challenging, it is only a stage. With effort, consistency, and support, every challenge becomes a step toward a better future.”

Today, I want to express my deepest gratitude to Jóvenes Adelante, an organization that supported me throughout not only my professional journey, but also my personal growth. They were always present — attentive to my needs, celebrating my achievements, and caring for my well-being every step of the way.

This achievement is not mine alone; it is a shared accomplishment. It belongs to every person who is part of this incredible community. Thank you to my mentor, my sponsor, and the entire Jóvenes Adelante team, who were one of the sparks that encouraged me to keep moving forward, believing in me even in moments of doubt.

Their unconditional support has left a lasting impact on my life and on the lives of many others.

Thank you for believing in the Andrea who began with fear and uncertainty, but chose to keep going… and who today becomes a professional.

It is never too early or too late to begin turning dreams into achievements.

Today marks the end of a chapter filled with learning — with victories, and also challenges that taught me to value the process as much as the outcome.

There are no words strong enough to express my gratitude for the preparation and resilience that Jóvenes Adelante provided me over these four years. I found a supportive community that not only strengthened my professional and personal growth, but also left a lasting impact on who I am today.

More than a scholarship, it was a constant source of guidance, filled with experiences that truly transformed me.

This may seem like the end of a stage, but in reality, it is only the beginning of everything that lies ahead.

Thank you, Jóvenes Adelante, for believing in me, for walking alongside me, and for helping me build a future full of possibilities.
