I am currently doing my academic exchange in Chile, at the Universidad Católica del Norte. I am about  to complete a month and a half in the country.

On the one hand,  I've had a great time. I've met a lot of new people , wonderful people from different parts of South America, and I've also learned a lot of new words and ways of expressing myself. This experience has allowed me to give myself a chance to realize that, although we share many things in common among Spanish speakers, there are also very interesting differences in our way of speaking and  seeing the world. I did have some complications at first - I felt little disappointed in both the city and the university for various reasons,  although not because of the academic plan . In addition, integrating into a new place is not easy and, although the subjects are similar, there are quite a few differences, so the adaptation process can be complicated.

I now feel more focused and determined to learn as much as I can during this experience, as well as to compare issues, problems, and respective solutions from different academic, social, political and cultural perspectives.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to visit San Pedro de Atacama, and I found it  a truly impressive place.

Architecture

Universidad de León – San Miguel de Allende

During this period I made a trip to San Luis Potosí, thanks to the support of the Jóvenes Adelante support  program, for which I feel very grateful, since each trip is important to my academic studies.

On this trip I learned a lot about architecture and its history, and visited a town with great historical value directly related to the subject I am studying.
